Pay Range: $66,372.80 - $96,720.00 / hour

Job Description :
To serve as an oncology population specific clinician and consistent navigator across the complexities of UAB Health System. To serve as a patient advocate providing individualized assistance to oncology patients, families and caregivers. To utilize the nursing process in assessment of the physical, psychological and social needs of the patient. To serve as a liaison with the multidisciplinary care team. To provide education and resources to aid in timely access to appropriate level of care, increased utilization of preventive services and promotion of patient self-management with the goal of informed and shared decision-making.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing and three (3) years of related experience required. Oncology nursing experience preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) within 18 months of hire required. Certification as an Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) by the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN) within three (3) years of hire required.
