What are the responsibilities and job description for the TEMPORARY SERVICES: VARIANT SCIENTIST position at UAB Health System?
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a Variant Scientist to using manual and automated methods in a team environment, and following established policies and procedures, in a professional manner.
Responsibilities:
Curate genetic variants and deposit to public database such as ClinVar;
Integrate genetic information from different resources into one database for research purpose.
Data analysis and mining from different databases.
Masters Degree with knowledge in Human Genetics and/or Medicine. Statistic and/or bioinformatics is preferred but not required. Familiar with office software such and excel and access.
