Job Summary
All onboarding employees will be trained in their policy and procedures relative to their departments as well as those of UAB, by the training specialist. In addition, the training specialist will provide initial trainings on every screener or assessment used including, but not limited to, the ORAS, VPRAI, HSNA, UNCOPE, 10point-scale, MH brief screener, and overall database familiarity. The specialist role will collaborate with the research and data department in order to source data, allowing the specialist to provide quality assurance by reviewing the data to ensure compliance with all governing entities. Additional trainings will be provided as the need arises or as departments request.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Providing initial and ongoing trainings for all onboarding employees on all screeners and assessments used (ORAS, VPRAI, HSNA, UNCOPE, 10pt-scale, MH Brief Screener), as well as the database.
- Familiarizing onboarding employees with their department's (and UAB's) policy and procedures.
- Provides quality assurance by reviewing database entries.
- Specifically, the specialist will compile data and search for errors, missed billing, continuity of care, and ensure organization is complying with best practices.
- Collaborates with research and data department to source and analyze data.
- Will take requests from department managers to ensure teams are performing at the highest level and engaging in best practices of case management.
- Maintain overall quality management and training for department functions.
- Support organizational education and training by ensuring process definition and execution as required by established goals.
- Create and maintain policy and procedure and training manuals to support department functions.
- Supervise and conduct training for core trainers and staff within assigned area to eliminate revenue loss and inaccurate data to affected department
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Work Characteristics
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Behavioral health, or related field
Salary Range: $45,395 - $73,770
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- And one (1) year of related experience required.
- Work experience may substitute for education requirement
