About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at UAB Medical West in our General Surgery Clinic. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our medical team. Your primary role will be to assist physicians and nurses in delivering quality healthcare services to our patients. You will be responsible for upkeep of the exam rooms, autoclaving, patient charts, assisting in the lab and with x-ray, and providing other services of a clerical or technical nature to ensure quality patient care. You will be working in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent communication and organizational skills. Your contributions will be critical to ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Must hold a valid Certified Medical Assistant certification by an approved credentialing board (NHA, AMT, NCCT, etc.).
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Current CPR certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire date.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
