What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mammography Technologist | Full Time position at UAB Medical West?
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing routine daily mammograms. Performs various procedures related to quality assurance within Mammography as well as assists physicians with procedures as needed. Maintains high quality of professionalism in dealing with patients.
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Registry in Radiography in good standing with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiology Technologists). ARRT registered in mammography preferred. Must pass the registry for Mammography within one year of hire date. Must possess American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
