What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Tech | Laboratory | PRN position at UAB Medical West?
Under the supervision of the Section or Shift Supervisor, the Medical Laboratory Technician performs routine procedures in the various Laboratory areas including Blood Bank, Hematology, Serology, Chemistry and Microbiology. Responsible for performing high quality work with speed and accuracy.
Registered as a Medical Laboratory Technician (at minimum) by the Registry Board of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent. Recent graduates who are registry-eligible will be considered and must obtain certification / registry within one year of employment.
