Under close supervision and according to established policies and procedures, to prepare patients and/or research participants for treatment or research protocol. This staff member will not function as a “resource” staff member, but is able to provide assistance where needed. To assist and observe in performing simple, non-invasive patient procedures according to applicable policy and/or protocol. May perform various clerical and/or lab duties as requested. To Responds to the unique needs of all patient populations
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Participants in this Certified Medical Assistant career ladder must obtain Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification by American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) within one (1) year of hire. BLS certification within 30 days of hire required.
