The Tech Support Analyst-Business Ops Support may serve as a mentor and first-pass escalation for other Business Operations Support staff members. Typical duties of the Business Operations Support Technical Support include good communication skills, both written and verbal, along with good active listening skills. Ability to work well in a team setting and a high level of understanding of the team’s services and goals. The Business Operations Support Technical Support will be highly encouraged to complete the professional growth and competency program assigned to this position to develop the skills and knowledge to advance to the next appropriate job family level.
Ambulatory Access Services encompasses medical record and encounter creation management to include registration, scheduling, insurance verification, pre-authorization, communication of patient responsibility, and other pre-arrival activities in both an ambulatory and hospital setting. Numerous regulatory requirements are included in all these processes and management is expected to monitor for compliance.

- Oversight and compliance with staff adherence to standards, policy and procedures specific to front-end access functions, including but not limited to appointment scheduling, pre-registration, check-in, checkout, demographic and insurance verification, Medicare secondary payer (MSP), physician referral, pre-authorization, financial counseling, and other related functions and tasks;
- Coordinating and collaborating with department, division, and clinic administrative and clinical teams to manage performance expectations and challenges;
- Routinely exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to staff performance, productivity and quality compared to standards and organizational expectations;
- Evaluating, comparing, and recommending best-practice action-plans to improve performance or outcomes, which may be at the employee, clinic, location, division or department level;
- Participating openly and professionally in relevant discussions across the enterprise
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three years’ registration, insurance verification, authorizations or related experience.
Preferred: Customer service or related experience.
