What are the responsibilities and job description for the CLINIC COORDINATOR (HUNTSVILLE, AL) position at UAB Medicine?
Supervises daily clinic activities and work assignments. Assists in development and implementation of clinic policies and procedures. Monitors and maintains schedules, records, equipment and supply inventories. Assists with clinical procedures as required. Assists in planning and implementing educational activities. Trains, certifies and assists staff and students in clinical procedures. Answers questions, evaluates employees and ensures procedures are performed according to established protocols. Oversees billing and collection activities. Processes routine financial transactions and resolves concerns related to patient accounts. Responds to the needs of all patients ages newborn through geriatric.

- Hard Skills: Knowledge of patient care procedures and protocols; Previous medical assistant/nursing experience in an outpatient medical clinic with patients ranging from pediatrics to adults; Experience working with an electronic medical records system (EMR)
- Soft Skills: Attention to detail; strong organizational skills; ability to multitask and prioritize assignments; strong customer service skills; patient-centered mindset; work well under pressure
