Position Description
Schedule: Monday-Friday Day Shift
Location: Avondale Business Center

Under general supervision, to provide the payer enrollment for all new UAB Department of Pediatrics providers including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, allied health professionals, psychologists, fellows, and moonlighters. To perform revalidation according to payer requests. To maintain and update payer enrollment files including current licensure and certification, DOP Database, CAQH, and Symplyr. To oversee credentialing processes, assisting with training and guidance as needed. To coordinate efficient and effective processes within the Credentialing Team. To communicate regularly with payers, entities, and other involved stakeholders.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent and either three (3) years of progressive administrative office experience or one (1) year of payer enrollment experience required. Experience with ACCESS, Symplyr, CAQH or other pay credentialing applications preferred. Bachelor's degree may substitute for work experience.
License, Certification And/Or Registration
Required: None
