Position Description
Schedule: Monday-Friday Full Time 8a-5p
Location: Office of the Senior Vice President for Medicine and Dean at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Heersink School of Medicine

In partnership with Health Services Information Systems (HSIS) and University of Alabama at Birmingham Central IT (UAB IT) leadership, represent the Heersink School of Medicine (HSOM) in developing strategy and implementation plans and determining services for its information technology needs within existing technology provided by HSIS and UAB IT as well as those uniquely delivered by HSOM shared service (HSOM IT). To serve as a resource and source of expertise in HSOM to ensure technology policies, procedures and programs are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goals, and are in compliance with professional standards and institutional requirements. To understand and advise departments on technology and research computing, as well as how to use data and analytics to inform their impact on UAB Administration and UAB Medicine.
Position Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or a related field and ten (10) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
