UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center is opening an 11-story, state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation pavilion in spring 2025. The new hospital will include 78 rehabilitation beds and the latesttechnology – all designed to promote functional activity at every turn. Join our inpatient rehabilitation team and help shape the future of health care in Alabama and beyond. Rehabilitation nursing offers a unique opportunity to help restore patients’ lives after injury at our now six-time Magnet-designated organization . They integrate best practices and leading-edge technology into their care plans while collaborating as part of a highly skilled, interdisciplinary team who provides comprehensive, evidence-based care. We support professional clinical development by empowering and challenging our nurses through mentorship and other growth opportunities. Also, UAB Medicine covers the cost of obtaining certain professional nursing certifications and provides an annual nursing certification recognition payment. Job Description:
To assume responsibility for certain technical aspects of patient care as directed by the RN/LPN for the hospital. To obtain and record vitals, weight, inputs and outputs. To successfully complete an in-house PCT training program. To demonstrate an awareness of patient and personal safety.
High School diploma or GED required. Certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within thirty (30) days of date of employment required.
