What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager - Facilities Planning - AM (044) position at UAB Medicine?
Compensation :
Pay Range: $67,070.00 - $108,990.00/ hour
Gathers information by meeting with key stakeholders to develop project plans including but not limited to Information Technologies, space requirements, layouts and design best practices, workflow assessment, and construction project management insight. Identifies similarities and differences among stakeholders and determines the impact on project plans. Develop strategies for keeping projects on task and within parameters agreed to during design and programming. Identifies quick wins to develop positive and tangible outcomes for the UAB community to build momentum. Meets with customers and leaders to make decisions and prioritize milestones to keep projects on track and on budget. Executes the plan and sets milestones and targets, then monitors and adjusts according to the overall project plan and goals. Develops clear communication channels and collaboration among the project team and leadership. Perform other duties as assigned

Job Description:
Capable of multitasking complex construction and operational projects to support VP level management expectations for UAB Medicine. 2. Proficient in Microsoft suite technology including spreadsheets, flow charting processes, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft products. 3. Comfortable and efficient with public speaking to provide leadership progress reports for projects. 4. Ability to collaborate with all levels of senior and executive leadership when called upon for project initiatives. To coordinate and manage design and construction activities for construction/renovation projects. To deliver assigned projects under budget and on time.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Science, Architecture, Interior Design or related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. FOR CAMPUS POSITIONS: Must maintain a valid driver s license, issued in the United States. Motor Vehicle Record will be obtained and reviewed at least annually. Driving record should meet University underwriting standards to drive vehicle in performance of University business. Currently licensed as a Professional Engineer by the State of Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors or eligible to apply to the State of Alabama Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors preferred. LEED AP, CEFP, CFM certifications preferred.
