What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant - Finance position at UAB St. Vincent's?
We Are Hiring
- Department: Finance
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hospital: Ridge Park, Birmingham, AL

4-5 Years of Accounting Assitant experience strongly preferred.
What You Will Do
Provides accounting and administrative support.
- Assists with the preparation of assigned monthly account reconciliations and variance documentation.
- Assists with payroll, accounts receivable and/or accounts payable functions.
- Enters data into and generates reports from the department's information systems/programs.
- Retrieves, files, organizes and archives financial records as necessary. Communicates financialproblems/issues identified during performance of tasks to Lead/Manager.
- Reconciles bank statements on a monthly basis including timely investigation and resolution of anydifferences.
What You Will Need
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience,if applicable.
