What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Tech - Days position at UAB St. Vincent's?
We Are Hiring
- Bonus: Up to $1,000.
- Department: Geriatric Behavioral Health
- Schedule: Full Time Days (7a to 7p), & every other weekend
- Hospital: UAB St. Vincent's East
- Location: Trussville, AL

What You Will Do
Provide direct behavioral health patient care.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living.
- Provide or assist with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
- Observe and record patient behavior and activities. Report any changes in condition and suggests modifications to the treatment plan.
- Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.
- Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
- Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
Two years of Patient Care experience
