Responsibilities
- Perform computed tomographic procedures for diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.
- Prepare and position patients accurately, selecting anatomic and technical parameters.
- Administer contrast media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.
- Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.
- Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
Requirements
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date required.
- One or more of the following certifications required:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography.
- Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable job-specific experience required.
