Overview:
The Dennis Developmental Center (DDC) is a regional center for the evaluation and diagnosis of children with neurodevelopmental disorders and developmental-behavioral challenges. Care and services are provided by an multidisciplinary group of clinicians, including Developmental-Behavioral Pediatricians, Pediatric Psychologists, Advanced Practice Nurses and Registered Nurses, Speech Language Pathologists, Licensed Psychological Examiners, and Social Workers. The RN Clinical Site Manager reports to the DDC Clinic Manager and provides clinical site management leadership, serving as the lead clinician for day to day clinic operations.

Salary offered commensurate with experience
Responsibilities:
Clinical Site Management
Provides day to day clinical site management for patient care operations. Serves as Director of triage, ensuring best practices and timeliness in responding to patients and referring providers regarding the status of patient referrals. Supervises RN Clinical Coordinators and the team evaluation process with collaboration from Developmental Pediatrician and Psychologist team leaders. Manages RN deployment and performance. Serves as backup for DDC Clinic Manager. Co-leads committees and task forces as appropriate. Practices cost-effective use of resources and makes recommendations to improve cost effectiveness. Uses mentoring and role modeling to promote positive patient outcomes and professionalism. Utilizes technology to record and communicate clinical activities ( e.g., EMR).

RN Clinical Duties
Utilizes critical thinking and the nursing process in the assessment and identification of patient/family long and short-term physical, psychosocial, behavioral, educational and cultural needs. Applies the nursing process and teaching/learning principles to provide specialized and individualized patient/family education to improve problem management and prevention and to facilitate achievement of health goals. Evaluates patient's/family's response to the ·diagnosis, treatment plan, and education and adjusts nursing intervention to maximize patient's/family's compliance with treatment and follow-up care.

Professional Development
Maintains and expands professional expertise through practice-related continuing education as required to maintain licensure. Demonstrates appropriate and effective delegation to other members of the healthcare team and ensures task completion. Participates in UAMS, community and national organizations as appropriate to maintain and share expertise in assessment and evaluation of children with complex developmental medical problems and related symptoms and behaviors.

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years of experience in a clinical setting required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Good Clinical Practice Skills.
  • Current Arkansas RN license.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and SOPs.
  • EPIC
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary practice in Pediatrics, in developmental, behavioral, or rehab nursing
