Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in higher education administration, counseling or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in higher education, with a focus on student services including two (2) years of management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Doctoral degree in higher education administration, student affairs, or a related field.
Responsibilities:
ACADEMIC RECRUITMENT AND ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT
- Leads and evaluates student enrollment activities which include the recruitment, application, and admissions process.
- Acts as liaison between programs and Centralized Application Services (CAS).
- Ensures recruitment events are in tandem with the CHP strategic plan and manages recruiting material that will be distributed prior to seeking approval from the Associate Dean of Student Affairs.
- Leads the application process efforts by ensuring that the Workday Student and CAS application system is functioning properly, makes changes to the process in tandem with UAMS policies, and directs the preparation of applicant files.
- Supervises pre-admission advising of students.
- Serves as direct supplementary support to recruiting specialist for recruitment visits, presentations, information sessions, and advising.
- Serves as the liaison with other universities, UAMS, and the CHP in admissions issues, clarifies the admissions process with those who counsel applicants to the programs.
- Supervises the update of general education equivalency sheets, 2 2 agreements and answers specific inquiries regarding course exceptions for prerequisites.
- Leads the admissions process and supervises the calculation of grade point averages.
- Ensures the processing and evaluation of transfer credit are in tandem with the Arkansas State Core and ADHE.
- Serves as the liaison with the O.U.R for student transfer credit review and evaluation.
- Ensures completed student records are scanned into a permanent file.
- Responsible for the accuracy of student admission letters and residency review.
- Oversees Workday Student admissions training for faculty and staff in CHP.
- Oversees process for matriculating new students in collaboration with the registrar’s office.
- Coordinate with Office of University Registrar (OUR) for the student registration process.
- Coordinates with OUR to ensure that students records are accurate pre-matriculation through graduation.
- Coordinates with OUR to ensure transition of student records from pre-matriculation to enrollment phases. Ensures the security and maintenance of student records, grade reports, and grade point averages.
- Lead on all SIS updates/upgrades in tandem with Workday Student and CAS systems.
- Process application and application materials for 4 of 7 undergraduate and all graduate, and doctoral applicants to CHP (1,000 ).
- Manages all CHP social media accounts.
- Oversee the college’s marketing and communications to develop effective recruitment campaigns.
- Supervises the preparation and approval of CHP recruitment materials under the approval of the Associate Dean of Student Affairs.
- Assesses the accuracy of all marketing materials.
- Supervises the notification of appropriate faculty of changes and updates to marketing and social media guidelines in accordance with UAMS policy.
- Manages the maintenance of marketing materials and serves as a lead on new marketing projects.
- Supervises and manages the colleges and associated programs social media platforms and serves as content creator for CHP.
- Develops and implements programs and services that enhance student engagement and success.
- Oversees the new student orientation for the college.
- Manages new and incoming student programming focused on retention.
- Oversees CHP Prep Course focused on providing new first generation college students core competencies.
- Manages projects and duties by keeping necessary personnel informed, providing reports, tracking outcomes, following/owning processes from start to finish and maintaining project timelines.
- Assists in the planning, implement and evaluation of the annual commencement ceremony.
- Supports the college’s Executive Committee and the College Advancement Committee.
- Schedules, plans and organizes college events as indicated.
- Works as assigned by the associate dean for academic affairs on special projects.
- Supervises and serves as coordinator for the CHP Student Advisory Committee in support of the UAMS ASG initiates with Campus life.
- Other duties as assigned.
