Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field PLUS two (2) years of experience in medical or scientific writing and editing.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex scientific information into clear, concise narratives.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with grant-writing processes and manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed journals.
- Proficiency in literature search tools and citation management software.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Graduate degree in a related discipline PLUS five (5) years of experience in medical or scientific writing and editing.
- Strong understanding of research methodologies and scientific communication best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide writing and editing support for research grants, manuscripts, and other scientific documents.
- Conduct literature reviews and generate concise summaries suitable for background sections of grants and manuscripts.
- Actively participate in the intellectual development of research grant proposals, manuscripts, and other projects by attending, facilitating, and planning meetings.
- Ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with journal or funding agency guidelines.
- Collaborate with investigators, researchers, and faculty to refine and strengthen research narratives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
