The SURF Student Fellow is an undergraduate student that has been accepted to the 9-week summer research fellowship program titled the UAMS Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship.
Supervision:
During the 9-week summer program, each SURF Student Fellow will be assigned a UAMS research faculty mentor who will work with them on a summer research project. The students will also attend required weekly seminars. The SURF Program Director will manage the program overall as well as monitor their weekly time.

Minimum Qualifications and Additional Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent U.S. resident or obtain applicable I-20 CPT authorization to join the program by the start date and/or a valid EAD card, whichever is applicable.
- Student must be a science major interested in graduate school and pursuing a career in biochemistry and molecular biology.
