The Intermediate Accountant plays a crucial role in managing the financial health of the company, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting strategic financial planning. Working within a fast-paced environment that blends creativity and commerce, this role requires an individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles. The Intermediate Accountant will support financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, and compliance, ensuring the company’s financial operations align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

The Intermediate Accountant will support financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, and compliance, ensuring the company’s financial operations align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Key Position Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & General Accounting
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Support external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and ensure proper documentation for transactions.
- Provide oversight, assistance & support to our accounts payable & receivables as needed.
- Assist in tracking material and labor costs related to art production projects.
- Support the costing and pricing of artworks, fabrication projects, and commissions.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate job costing and inventory valuation.
- Identify cost variances and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements.
- Assist with sales tax filings, payroll tax submissions, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
- Maintain records and documentation required for tax audits and financial reviews.
- Support the development and monitoring of annual budgets.
- Assist in financial forecasting and performance analysis.
- Provide reports and insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in key responsibility areas of position
- Experience working in Zoho (CRM, Projects)
- Solid experience working in Microsoft (Excel, Teams, Outlook)
- Must be an excellent team player and have an ability to work under pressure.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on delivery.
