This position entails comprehensive responsibility for the library’s organization, administration, operation, and evaluation, including services, collections, facilities, personnel, and budget management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a modern library system with efficient administrative operations.
- Lead strategic planning and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Promote collaboration within the university and with external partners.
- Integrate the library into the academic and intellectual life of UATX.
- Leverage innovative technology and data management to enhance teaching and research.
- Represent and advocate for the library in local, regional, and national forums.
- Stay abreast of and respond to emerging trends in academic libraries and scholarly communication.
- Expand the library's resources through digital solutions and national network integrations.
- Support the core mission of UATX to advance the fearless pursuit of truth by building and sustaining a community based on the lively clash of ideas in an atmosphere of open inquiry and civil discourse.
