About The Role
Uber Freight’s Financial Operations team is seeking a highly motivated, data-driven Program Manager to lead and optimize our money management and payment programs, with a specific focus on collections and dispute management. This is a hands-on role designed to enhance operational workflows, conduct value-add data analysis and drive automation and efficiency across Financial systems. The ideal candidate will bring advanced SQL skills and analytics experience alongside background in Finance to identify and address gaps in the collections process, automate manual tasks, and streamline communication with both external customers and internal teams. In this role, you’ll help operationalize Uber Freight’s collections processes, including the management of strategic accounts and dispute resolution.

What The Candidate Will Do
- Data-Driven Analysis & Reporting: Conduct detailed analysis using advanced SQL to uncover inefficiencies in the collections and dispute management process. Leverage data to identify root causes of operational gaps and leverage actionable insights to improve performance.
- Automation & Process Optimization: Drive the automation of collections tasks and streamline workflows across Financial systems, including Oracle and Billtrust. Work to reduce the manual intervention required by the team and ensure automation tools are in place to optimize efficiency.
- Email Templates & Customer Communication: Develop a standardized library of customer-facing comms for various stages of the collections process to ensure clear, consistent communication with customers regarding account statuses, disputes, and aging reports.
- Performance Dashboards & KPIs: Build and manage performance dashboards that track key metrics such as SLAs, customer response times, resolution of disputes, and collections task completion. Regularly report on performance and provide insights to key stakeholders.
- Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives within the financial systems (Oracle, Billtrust) to analyze and improve collections and dispute management processes. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to improve both internal processes and customer satisfaction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with core Finance departments, including Billing, Collections, Cash Applications, and Credit, to ensure smooth coordination across all teams involved in collections and dispute management.
- Stakeholder Alignment & Project Management: Manage cross-functional projects to align initiatives with broader business goals. Provide regular updates on project progress, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed and aligned.
- Training & Education: Serve as the subject matter expert for internal stakeholders, helping train teams on collections protocols, dispute resolution, and new tools or automation processes.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, with a background in analytics, process optimization, and program management in a finance or customer service setting
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze complex datasets to drive business decisions and process improvements
- Proven experience using data to uncover insights, track KPIs, and drive operational improvements, particularly in collections, accounts receivable, or dispute management
- Experience in streamlining processes, automating workflows, and implementing systems to reduce manual tasks and improve operational efficiency
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and collaborate with teams in billing, collections, cash applications, and credit
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to drive change through data-driven decision-making
- Proficiency in Tableau or other data visualization tools for reporting and analysis
- Previous experience in the logistics, supply chain, or financial services industries, particularly in collections and accounts receivable
