About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Transportation Manager who will be responsible for managing a team of transportation specialists and transportation customer service representatives. This role will provide leadership to the customer service team and be the key contact for communications with Eaton leadership for anything related to this department.
This role will also support the Sr. Warehouse Manager in various operational, administrative, and leadership tasks.

About The Role

This role will also support the Sr. Warehouse Manager in various operational, administrative, and leadership tasks.
What The Candidate Will Do
- Manage and develop transportation and customer service department, including hiring and training of employees
- Monitor inbound and outbound freight domestically and internationally
- Act as primary point of contact for all facilities and customers in designated area of responsibility
- Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational opportunities
- Lead and supervise scheduling for shipments
- Manage a team of customer service representatives and yard spotters
- Any other ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Minimal travel could be required based on customer need and requests
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years related experience (logistics transportation and customer service experience)
- 2 years of management experience
- Cross border knowledge especially to Caribbean and Puerto Rico
- Experience managing the transportation process including a TMS system (UF TMS a Plus)
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s, specifically in a supply chain management environment
- Knowledge of multiple modes of transportation (Ocean, Air, Road, Rail etc.), Full Truckload, Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations, import/export and customs regulations.
- Advanced English & Spanish communication skills
- Knowledge of Yard/WMS management tools and systems (Made4Net a plus)
- Shift flexibility may be required, including weekends or overtime.
