As a US Claims Lead, you will lead a team of 8 associates/advocates as part of Uber's US & Canada Claims operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced people leader to gain diversity in their career across the US & Canada and to lead a team in Phoenix, AZ. You will report to our Senior Claims Manager.

The available shifts vary from Thursday-Monday and Tuesday-Saturday. Uber embraces a hybrid work model, which allows employees to alternate between three days in the office one week and two days in the office the following week. What You'll Do
  • Provide day to day direction, leadership, and management of claim functions with a focus on operational excellence, quality claim management, and customer obsession in a hybrid environment.
  • Demonstrate customer obsession by rolling your sleeves up to learn processes and teach others.
  • Adopt an always learning mentality.
  • Implement strategic visions; Align team to organizational goals and key initiatives.
  • Hold team accountable for their performance and development including, but not limited to, effective performance management, escalation of performance issues, and appropriate collaboration with Human Resources
  • Drive team development; Anticipate business needs by identifying key opportunity areas with tailored coaching plans for direct reports
  • Work cross-functionally with various business groups to drive key measures as they relate to insurance claims
  • Support business growth by leading various initiatives and projects while balancing your core duties
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant leadership experience
  • Experience in developing a high performing team
  • Experience with creating coaching plans for direct reports
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Claims designation obtained or in progress a plus
  • Auto claims adjusting experience with a major insurance carrier. Experience with injury claims is a plus
  • Leading in a Claims environment
  • Performance management experience
  • Leadership experience in a role with workforce management/capacity planning

For Phoenix, AZ-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $75,500 per year - $84,250 per year.

You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits. More details can be found at the following link .
