Requirements to Drive
To become an Uber driver, you must meet certain requirements. These include having at least one year of licensed driving experience in the US (three years if under 25), using an eligible four-door vehicle, consenting to a background check, and having an iPhone or Android smartphone.
We welcome drivers from all backgrounds, including those with previous experience in transportation. No professional driving experience is required, but having one year of licensed driving experience is necessary.
