Job Description: In this new role at the company, you’ll be joining a mission-driven, EOS - passionate team, transforming the future of light. Your role will be crucial in guiding our company through rapid expansion while maintaining the strong financial foundation we’ve built.
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Director of Finance (Chief Financial Officer (CFO) track), to support financing, budgeting, financial modeling, financial compliance, and accounting activities at UbiQD. The role is full-time and in-person, and therefore residing near the Los Alamos headquarters is required. A successful applicant will be team-oriented, have a strong work ethic and record keeping habits, exhibit leadership potential, and have related industry experience as a Director of Finance or CFO.
UbiQD is a rapidly growing company, and applicants should be excited about working in a dynamic and high energy environment where individuals are expected to shoulder broad responsibilities and sometimes work independently.
Job Requirements
· Residence in or re-location to Los Alamos, NM (or surrounding areas)
· MBA or related business degree or accreditation
· At least ten years of financial experience
· Budgeting and financial modeling (proforma) experience
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Excellent communication skills with ability to work in a team
· Eligibility to work in the USA
Desired Qualifications
· Startup, VC, or small business leadership experience
· Target sector experience (agriculture, energy, materials, chemicals, manufacturing)
· CPA (accounting) or CFA, including QuickBooks or similar accounting software
· Strong track record of successfully raising funds, especially later-stage rounds and debt
· Experience managing relationships with VCs, private equity firms, and other investors
