What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Field Manager position at Ubiquity Resources Group Inc.?
The Field Manager will manage assigned buildings, and the hourly workers assigned to each building. Specific responsibilities include work scheduling of all personnel, establishing work standards, conducting site evaluations, audits, overall inventory/equipment usage, overtime control, employee performance appraisals, troubleshooting/problem-solving, orientation, training of custodians and support personnel, customer relations, and special project work as requested.
Job Duties:
- Staffing – schedule and assign janitorial staff to specific tasks and locations, ensuring adequate coverage for all areas. Direct and supervise scheduling of workload adjustment with the supervisors, utility crew and janitors.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
- Inspect work areas regularly to ensure proper cleaning and that all equipment is in good working order.
- Train new janitorial staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Participate in monitoring and developing team member performance, including evaluations, training, and recognition.
- Understand and use proper personnel management skills to resolve problems with employee and supervisory personnel.
- Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure all employees adhere to the company standards by constantly coaching and redirecting performance.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Prepare and submit reports on the condition of the facilities and the performance of janitorial staff.
- Investigate complaints from customers or staff about cleanliness issues and take proper corrective action.
- Make recommendations for changes or improvements to cleaning methods and products.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Properly resolve problems and troubleshoot issues as they arise without direction of management.
- Oversee janitor personnel in working methods and procedures.
- Follow-up on all completed work assignments and return completed assignment to the originator.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and be the example for other employees to follow.
