What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at UBMD Internal Medicine?
UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant (MA) for our clinic located at our Youngs Rd. Clinic. This is a great opportunity to work in a primary and specialty care clinic. Day shift Monday - Friday. No weekends or holidays!
Duties primarily include and are not limited to:
- Rooming patients
- Checking vitals, update patient records
- Insurance eligibility checks and prior authorizations
- Booking of procedures and scheduling appointments/referrals
Qualified candidates should have outstanding customer service and verbal/written communication skills. Clinical skills, EMR and scheduling experience required, knowledge of medical terminology required. 1-2 years experience in an office setting preferred. Must be open to traveling to other sites as needed.
