Your team
Responsibilities:
- Deliver clear and concise credit opinions to traders and portfolio managers incorporating relative value assessment based on credit fundamentals and current market conditions.
- Contribute to the research process as an integral part of the municipal credit research team and collaborate with senior analysts, traders and portfolio managers on both primary and secondary market offerings.
- Actively participate in the investment and portfolio construction decisions for existing and new accounts.
- Closely follow assigned municipal sectors and report any developments or concerns to the trading desk in a timely fashion.
- Actively engage with senior analysts, rating agency analysts, issuers, internal and external stakeholders as part of the credit research process.
- Surveillance of existing holdings
- Onboarding new client accounts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 – 5 years of experience in municipal bond credit analysis, with exposure to a broad array of municipal sectors
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present credit research findings concisely, clearly and persuasively to internal stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including advanced Excel skills (VBA)
- Experience with Bloomberg; familiarity with PERFORM/Creditscope preferred.
- Programming language skills - Bloomberg API/BQL, Python.
