Job Summary
Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday & Friday for 6 hours per day.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care to seniors and individuals with disabilities, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with meal preparation and nutritional support tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
- Monitor clients' health by observing changes in condition and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients in engaging in daily activities and community involvement, promoting social interaction.
- Assist with mobility needs, including transferring clients safely from one location to another.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices is essential.
- Familiarity with senior care principles and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
