What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unemployment Insurance Claims/Charge Analyst position at UC Advantage?

What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinate with clients to gather all relevant information necessary to respond to an unemployment claim
- Prepare and submit a comprehensive response to the unemployment claim that provides the best chance of a successful outcome
- Field, assess, and respond to requests for additional information from state agencies
- Develop strong partnerships with client contacts and use those relationships to advise on what additional steps or processes they might use to have more successful outcomes
- Analyze unfavorable determinations and inform clients on likelihood of success on appeal
- File appeals to determinations with state agencies and manage the hearing process
- Receive benefit charges from the states and log them into our system
- Monitor charges to ensure they are responded to in a timely fashion
What your background looks like:
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks, take initiative and prioritize multiple work items
- Must remain flexible and be comfortable within a demanding, constantly changing environment
- Must be able to work independently with attention to detail
- Experience in unemployment claims management industry is a plus
· We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working in a small, quiet, informal office.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, able to prepare legal and state forms, ability to answer inquiries and explain procedures and/or experience in customer service.
Preferred:
Experience in business administration, marketing, human resources, or related field. Live within 30-miles of the office.
