Position Summary :
Incumbent provides routine informatics support for EPIC and Ancillary Departmental Systems. Additionally, provides support for the hardware and software environments necessary to ensure effective operations and gives guidance relative to new applications and technology.
Salary Range : Hourly Rate
Minimum : $31.94
Midpoint : $44.35
Maximum : $56.75
Required Qualifications :
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Working knowledge of wireless network configurations and limitations related to a clinical environment
- Some knowledge of open source operating systems such as Linux
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interface with internal and / or external customers
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, WINS
- Must carry a pager / phone and provide on-call support for IT related issues
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
- Working knowledge of Thin client and other terminal related technologies
- Prior experience supporting and configuring bio medical device interfacing to documentation systems
- Ability to independently problem solve Desktop issues
- Prior experience supporting clinical end users in a rapidly changing environment
- Knowledge of operating system internals, file systems, functions of hardware components, and how hardware and software components work together to form a computer system
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- 4 years desktop support experience in a networked business environment
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Extensive experience with Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 10
- Experience with Device Integration middleware such as Capsule, DeviceConX and Cerner
- General knowledge of Phone devices
- Knowledge of TCP / IP protocols
- Experience using Microsoft Office Applications
