The UCI Program in Public Health is on its way to becoming a School of Population and Public Health and is part of the Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences. The growing program trains roughly 1,300 undergraduates and 200 graduate and doctoral students annually and is among the only programs in public health to have an undergraduate major. UCI Public Health is dedicated to the achievement of health equity for all populations through teaching, research, service and public health practice locally and globally. Championing the principles of evidence-based public health science, the program aspires to understand and impact population level social, biological and environmental determinants of health and well-being. A member of the Program in Public Health’s Communications team who will help execute and manage the Program’s digital communications strategies, including HTML emails, social media, website management, and videos.

What It Takes to be Successful
- Working knowledge of concepts and principles of news, media communications and media relations.
- Working knowledge of the location, its achievements, mission, vision, goals, objectives, programs and infrastructure.
- Good written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills and political acumen.
- Good organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Intermediate knowledge of social media platforms, including: Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube.
- Beginning to intermediate knowledge of WordPress or similar CMS systems and Mailchimp or similar systems.
- Beginning to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Create Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Canva.
