Position Description
The Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery is seeking candidates to fill a Tenure-Track 50/50 Assistant Professor/Assistant Professor In-Residence or Tenure 50/50 Associate Professor/Associate Professor In-Residence position with expertise and experience in cutting-edge discoveries and clinical care in head & neck cancer.
The Department seeks a board-certified MD or MD/PhD with a strong academic background and research program with strong potential for consistent funding. This position will include both clinical time and significant time allotted for independent research as Principal Investigator. Federal funding or significant potential for federal funding will be evaluated. Research space may be available on the UC Irvine campus, as are multiple collaborative opportunities with clinicians and scientists in a wide variety of disciplines.
The successful recruit will also participate in teaching and mentoring activities of the department, which may involve medical students, graduate students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty.
