About the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion : Located in Hillcrest, the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion is a state-of-the-art, 250,000-square-foot medical facility designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of our region. Spanning six floors, this advanced facility is home to key clinical programs and offers specialized diagnostic, treatment, and surgical services. With a strong emphasis on cancer care, we are committed to delivering world-class medical services in a patient-centered environment.
DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the CNA supports the continuum of care by providing basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living. Performs uncomplicated technical procedures. Participates in performance improvement activities, such as chart audits. Utilizes a variety of technical equipment and supplies. Provides basic patient care support : patient transport, specimen and blood and blood products transport, and inventory management. Cross trains to the role of Hospital Unit Secretary. This position requires initiative, the ability to prioritize demands and the ability to work in a team environment. Participates in collaborative team environment, including training and evaluation of peers; scheduling of work; and assisting the administrative functions of the unit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous acute care experience.
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w / in 6 months of hire date.
- Must possess a valid California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensure.
- Demonstrated ability to observe deviations from normal.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to empathize with and understand the perspectives of others, even in difficult or challenging situations.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen actively and express oneself clearly and effectively in verbal and written communication.

Annual Full Pay Range : $62,285 - $62,285 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent : $29.83 - $29.83
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
