DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nutrition, the Patient Services Manager has managerial responsibility for the Patient Services Operations within the Nutrition Services Department. The Patient Services Manager is a subject matter-expert with regard to logistics, sanitation oversight, patient experience and satisfaction, general therapeutic diet knowledge, nutrient analysis, and utilization of CBORD (food service software system) in relation to nutrition services.

The Patient Services Manager identifies opportunities for improvement in the Patient Services program with the Assistant Director and management team. The Patient Services manager trains staff on food safety, sanitation, infection control, therapeutic diets, and standards. Role models excellent interpersonal communication skills and problem solving with a focus on teamwork and collaboration. Serves as a nutrition services liaison for nurses, physicians, and other clinical staff in relation to patient experience. Position works closely with the Assistant Director, Sous Chef, and Room Service Manager to ensure proper utilization of patient food, supplies, timeliness of meal delivery and accuracy. Performs other related functions as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five (5 ) or more years of supervisory/management experience in a related customer service and/or healthcare-focused industry; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience and knowledge in food service and sanitation regulations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in healthcare, nutrition, and/or related field.

  • ServSafe Certification or equivalent certification.

  • Demonstrated experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.

  • Knowledge/experience with CBORD (food service software system).

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must have reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record.

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $63,800 - $111,600 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $30.56 - $53.45

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
