About the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion: Located in Hillcrest, the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion is a state-of-the-art, 250,000-square-foot medical facility designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of our region. Spanning six floors, this advanced facility is home to key clinical programs and offers specialized diagnostic, treatment, and surgical services. With a strong emphasis on cancer care, we are committed to delivering world-class medical services in a patient-centered environment.

DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the UCSD McGrath Pharmacy Manager and the Pharmacy Purchasing Manager, the Infusion Pharmacy Procurement Analyst responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Daily inventory management for the UCSD McGrath Outpatient Pavilion Pharmacy - including but not limited to procurement, par level assessment, drug shortage management, invoice review, purchase order review, and ensuring contract compliance
  • Coordinating pharmacy physical inventory bi-annually
  • Assistance with pharmaceutical procurement, distribution and recharging for clinics and service lines within the facility
  • Evaluating / using the Pharmacy Information System Inventory module (EPIC Willow Inventory)
  • Collaborating with the 340B team as a resource for interventions pertaining to ordering, price verification, contract compliance, 340B compliance, and inventory management
  • Collaborating with UCSD Storehouse and Central Supply representatives for pharmaceutical management
  • Use of Pyxis Automated Dispensing Cabinets and Reporting
  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with pharmaceutical wholesalers and vendors

In addition, the Infusion Pharmacy Procurement Analyst will be assisting with the fit up / opening UCSD McGrath Infusion Pharmacy and assisting with fit-up for other services in the facility related to pharmaceuticals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor's Degree in related area and/or related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.

  • Three (3 ) or more years of relevant experience.

  • Experience and proven success in evaluating the quality and cost effectiveness of multiple and complex purchasing options.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)issued by PTCB.
  • Experience with EPIC.
  • Experience with Pharmacy purchasing.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $69,500 - $123,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $33.29 - $59.15

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
