The Department of Medicine (http://med/ucsd.edu), Division of Cardiovascular Medicine (https://cardiology.ucsd.edu/index.html), and the Cardiovascular Institute at UC San Diego are committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and are actively recruiting for a Director of Cardiac Imaging.
The selected candidate will oversee both clinical and administrative operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for patient care, interpretation of non-invasive studies (CT and MR), conducting research, and training and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and be Board-certified or Board-eligible in Non-Invasive Cardiology or a related field.
Candidates must also either possess or be eligible for a California medical license or an equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
