Position description
Jr Specialist- Abuabara Research Group
We are a research group (https://abuabara.ucsf.edu/) studying the epidemiology of skin disease. Our team uses advanced methods in quantitative data analysis to simultaneously consider genetic, biological, and socio-environmental influences on health over time. Specific areas of research focus include atopic dermatitis disease course and comorbidities, environmental drivers of inflammatory skin disease, comparative effectiveness of treatments, and skin barrier function and aging. The individual hired for the available position will support ongoing research projects. This individual will be primarily responsible for data analysis and presentation. There is opportunity to eventually drive/direct an independent research project upon demonstration of meeting other requirements of the position. The funding for this position ends one year from the date of hire .
Required Qualifications:
- Specialists appointed at the Junior rank must possess a BA/BS degree at the time of hire.
- Candidate’s CV must state required degree (or if pending) upon submission.
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical or population-based research and/or an advanced degree in degree in medicine, epidemiology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, or a closely related field.
