What You Will Do

Total Rewards Program Analysis, Operations, and Administration
- Participate in and support leave management administration
- Lead the ADA accommodation process, working collaboratively with the Assistant Director, Total Rewards, Office of General Counsel, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other team members to administer employee benefits programs, which may include health, wellness, retirement, ADA, leave, and/or voluntary benefits.
- Serves as a wellness program manager and primary contact for staff to obtain information and guidance about UCAR wellness programs, including services provided through employee assistance, health, and wellness plans and vendors. Researches, recommends, and implements solutions to utilize employer health vendors, programs, and best practices in order to help reduce healthcare claims costs, resulting in ROI of these programs and vendors by achieving cost containment goals for UCAR’s healthcare plans.
- Contribute to and assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for leadership, including issue identification and solution options recommendations for process and program adjustments that support organizational strategy and/or compliance with internal policies and practices, and applicable local, state, and federal laws, as appropriate.
- Stay current on market trends, industry best practices, and regulatory changes affecting ADA and wellness programs.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Total Rewards programs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align rewards strategies with broader organizational goals.
- Research compliance items as requested.
- Support other benefits processes as requested.
- Support compensation projects and processes as requested.
- Provide backup duties for other Total Rewards team members as needed. Cross-train on various tasks to ensure backup capabilities meet team needs.
- Provide clear and concise communication to employees about Benefits programs, policies, and updates
- Deliver information and training in multiple formats such as emails, presentations, meetings, calls, guides, and Sundog pages.
- Act as a resource for employee inquiries related to pay, benefits, and rewards programs. Lead initiatives to create team-wide standards for employee inquiry responses.
Successful candidates will ensure their application materials speak to the following criteria:
Education and Experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of related experience in Human Resources, Program Administration and/or Leadership, Data Analysis, and Reporting, or a similar area;
- or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to translate complicated technical topics into language easily understood by all employees.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Skill in developing and maintaining effective interpersonal and working relationships with people from different backgrounds.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with Google Workspace products
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience administering organization plans or programs
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment, prioritize work, and meet stated deadlines.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive employee data.
- Working understanding of ADA and wellness principles, practices and procedures, including familiarity with UCAR’s benefit offerings
- Prior experience administering benefits plans or programs
- Experience with Workday or similar Human Capital Management system.
