Make your mark for patientsWe are looking for a Field Medical Lead Rare Disease US – National Region who is motivated, innovative, and patient-focused to join us in our Medical Affairs team, field base position based in the United States.About the roleThe Field Medical Lead’s (FML) primary accountability is the leadership of the neuromuscular rare disease field medical team for the US region. Through direct line management of MSL team members in the field, the FML will ensure excellence in capability, consistency, and execution of MSL activities within each ecosystem as part of a matrixed team. Additionally, this role will provide medical presence, leadership, coaching, and accountability to drive individual and team results. Who you’ll work withLeading the neuromuscular rare disease field medical team for the US regionExternal partners such as, opinion leaders, advocacy leads, key decision makersInternal partners : Commercial Team, TLLs, clinical study management team and more What you’ll do Recruit, onboard, develop, coach, mentor, and manage the performance of the US neuromuscular MSL teamDevelop and implement aligned MSL training curricula in collaboration with local and global partnersShare goals / priorities / KPIs for the MSLs with matrix partners in execution of the yearly medical plan and US objectivesEnsure implementation of the field medical plan and monitor performance vs. objectivesCoach and model high impact scientific engagement with stakeholders, and delivery of scientifically supported value propositionsAlign and collaborate with matrix partners to empower MSLs as medical leaders and partners in the fieldEnsure a clear process and seamless collaboration with the clinical study management team to support clinical studiesEstablish and reinforce strong collaboration and direction to the medical information team to ensure prompt delivery of standard responses to external stakeholdersEstablish a presence within the region with external stakeholders (e.g., opinion leaders, advocacy leads, key decision makers) through regular participation in conferences and field meetings with their MSLsEngage regularly in the field (quarterly) with MSLs and external stakeholders as part of team leadership and customer engagementEnsure goals are accomplished within boundaries established by regulatory, legal, and compliance in accordance with company policies, processes, and sound ethical practicesInterested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills Doctoral Degree (PhD, PharmD or MD degree required)5 years of demonstrated field Medical Affairs  experience or / and 2 years managing a field medical team Leadership skills in managing, developing, coaching and influencing teams in matrix environmentExperience in myasthenia gravis or other neuromuscular diseasesAbility to travel is approximately 60% Preferred Qualifications : Demonstrated strength in medical tactical plan development and implementation for the field Effective communication, presentation, and engagement skills including mastery of English languageDigital LiteracyDemonstrated negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skillsScientific acumen and ability to translate scientific and clinical data into a value proposition for different stakeholdersBusiness acumen and focus on delivering customer value and impactUnderstanding of medical governance and compliance, and the ability to apply them effectivelyThis position's reasonably anticipated base salary range is $187,000 - $245,000 annually.
