Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various floor surfaces in commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of floor care techniques and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Duties
- Perform routine floor care tasks including buffing, stripping, and waxing floors to maintain a polished appearance.
- Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure carpets are clean and well-maintained.
- Execute commercial cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming various floor types.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas by performing custodial duties such as dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation.
- Adhere to safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the environmental services team to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the facility.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in floor care or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Familiarity with buffing machines, carpet cleaning equipment, and other custodial tools is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina; must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of environmental services practices is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
