The Field Service Engineer, in coordination with the UCC Environmental Service Office, plans and coordinates site activities including erection, startup, training and troubleshooting to ensure that equipment is installed and operated in accordance with contract design drawings and operating instructions. The Field Service Engineer also provides technical assistance and documentation to resolve issues while maintaining overall focus on service, schedule and the customer.
Candidate will have demonstrated capabilities in collaborating with others to perform engineering tasks within a team environment. Work experience with a privately held company will be beneficial.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Field Service Engineer will:
- Performs Field Service activities for erection to ensure that systems are installed in accordance with design drawings.
- Performs Field Service activities for component testing and system startup to ensure that systems are commissioned and performing in accordance with contract design drawings and operating instructions.
- Provides maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support on existing UCC and DSI installations.
- Documents field activities, observations and recommendations. Submits weekly expense reports and timesheets as directed.
- Performs special projects, customer training and routine service visits and miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Degree or higher is preferred
- 1– 5 years as Field Service Engineer or comparable experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic technical theories, practices, drawings and methods
- Experience working in a power or an industrial plant or similar environment

- Must be willing to travel 100% of the time
Essential Physical Abilities:
- Ability to climb up and down stairs and ladders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work standing all day.
- Ability to utilize full manual dexterity (i.e. sitting, squatting, bending, kneeling, lifting, walking, manipulating tools with limbs extended).
- Ability to accommodate varying work schedules.

Compensation and Benefits
Base Pay Range: $72,000 to $100,000 annual pay based on skills and experience
Other Compensation: Overtime Eligibility for 1 ½ times per hourly equivalent, based on client specific contract terms
