Overnight Janitor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in the restaurant ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning tasks, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Detail clean the restaurant and kitchen. Floors, walls, etc
• Complete special cleaning projects as assigned
• Disinfect commonly used items like tables, door handles, office equipment, pos equipment, etc.
• Deeply clean restrooms
• Wash and clean windows and mirrors
• Detail shelves, carts and other restaurant equipment and fixtures.
• Notify Managers of unsafe conditions or needed repairs
• Identify cleaning supplies and notify Management when running low
• Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Buff floors and ensure they are polished to a high standard.
• Assist with residential painting projects as needed.
• Conduct industrial and commercial cleaning tasks in accordance with safety protocols.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
• Carry out floor care duties including stripping, waxing, and sealing as required.
• Serve as a porter by moving furniture or equipment as necessary to facilitate cleaning efforts.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use.

Qualifications

• Some previous custodial experience preferred
• Ability to work overnight shifts. Shift begins at 11pm, Thursday through Sunday nights, 20-25 hours per week.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Will be required to regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals
• Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
• Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
