A Rheumatology LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) plays a vital role in managing patients with rheumatic diseases, focusing on patient care, education, and medication management under the supervision of a Rheumatology physician or registered nurse.
Clinic Hours Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will be responsible for providing general medical care for patients under the direction of a Physician. Assists medical providers with physical exams, procedures and treatments and provides follow up care instructions to patients.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
1. Valid State of Florida LPN license .
2. One to three years experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective professional relations with patients, families, and external caregivers.
2. Performs general nursing care to patients; administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
3. Assists Physicians and medical staff during examination and treatment of patients.
4. Assist with patient assessments and care planning.
5. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient needs are met.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
7. Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care skills.
**Preferred Skills and Abilities:**
1. Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and procedures.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Understanding of safety precautions and infection control procedures for dealing with sharp instruments, needles, blood, and body fluids.
4. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. CPR certification is preferred.
