About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Documentation Specialist Educator to join our team at UCHealth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs related to clinical documentation integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and provide services related to the orientation, auditing, continuing education, and assessment of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists.
- Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and staff to identify education and training opportunities.
- Collaborate with Physician Advisers for education material development.
- Design and perform audits to assess performance of CDI team. Provide education and competencies based on results.
- Function as liaison between the Clinical Documentation Department, CDI Physician Advisers, coding, quality, compliance, providers, clinicians, and service line directors.
- Coordinate the development and delivery of new staff orientation and education activities.
- Serve as a mentor for staff in areas of program development and professional development.
Requirements:
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgement.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Experience as CDI Educator, Auditor or Lead
