The Opportunity
Vice President, Organizational Development and Learning Strategy
Thisis an outstanding opportunity with one of the top academic and community health care systems in the country. This position will be a part of a high-performing, people-focused senior leadership team in a results-driven, evolving health care system. The Vice President of Organizational Development and Learning Strategy (ODLS) must lead the vision of "From Health Care to Health" by forging strong relationships with the UCHealth enterprise to create an overall entity unparalleled in the United States today.
The Vice President will strategically lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that optimize our workforce development and drive organizational performance. This role will oversee the Organizational Development, Learning Solutions, and Employee Experience functions, encompassing leadership and staff development, employee experience, talent management, performance management, employee listening strategies, instructional design, and the learning management system. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, data-driven talent strategy aligned with the organization's mission of improving lives. Critically, this involves cultivating a high-performing and engaged workforce by focusing on knowing, growing, and strategically deploying talent. The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated track record of strategic thinking, deep expertise in talent management, leadership development, organizational culture transformation, and a strong understanding of complex healthcare industry dynamics. They will be adept at measuring the impact of talent initiatives on key business outcomes, including patient care, operational efficiency, and financial performance.

Responsibilities
Talent Strategy and Leadership Development :
Develop and implement a system-wide talent management framework that directly supports the organization's mission of delivering exceptional patient care and achieving its long-term strategic objectives. This includes partnering with key stakeholders to design and execute leadership development programs, establish and maintain mentorship and coaching programs to cultivate strong leadership pipelines, robust and inclusive succession planning, and initiatives to foster a highly engaged workforce committed to clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and a positive work environment.
Learning and Development :
Oversee the creation and implementation of learning and professional development opportunities for all employees. Ensure continuous education and training are available to staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth. Proactively address emerging needs and swiftly respond to urgent training requirements to ensure organizational agility and success.
Employee Engagement and Retention :
Cultivates a thriving workforce by focusing on engagement, development, and retention. Drives engagement through data-driven strategies that enhance job satisfaction, morale, and productivity. Facilitates development by creating comprehensive career development programs to empower employee growth and maximize potential. Champions employee voice and oversees employee listening strategies to gather insights and drive continuous improvement.
Workforce Planning and Development :
Collaborate with leadership to understand current and future gaps and trends. Design and deliver comprehensive learning and development programs, including onboarding, upskilling, reskilling, and leadership development, to cultivate a skilled, diverse, and adaptable workforce ready to meet identified trends and overcome challenges.
Performance Management :
Leads the performance management process, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback, emphasizing career conversations. Partners with managers and teams to align performance goals with organizational objectives, fostering a forward-focused approach to employee career growth.
Organizational Culture :
Serves as a steward of UCHealth's culture, fostering an environment that supports high performance, collaboration, and alignment with the organization's mission. Provides expertise and facilitation in organizational change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruption while maximizing positive impact.
Learning Management System :
Oversee the Learning Management System, ensuring its functionality and effectiveness in delivering training content aligned with overall business goals, tracking progress and employee development, and generating reports on employee learning outcomes.
Metrics and Reporting :
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of talent development initiatives. Regularly report on progress to senior and executive leadership.
Compliance and Best Practices :
Ensure that talent development programs adhere to applicable healthcare regulations and best practices. Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in organizational development and learning to ensure the organization remains competitive in attracting and developing talent.

Position Requirements
- Master's degree in related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience; and 5 years of leadership experience
- Strong vision, strategic planning, customer service, collaboration, change management, and communication skills are required.

Key Attributes
Pay : $227,510 - $341,265 annual base. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
