What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Safety Intern position at UChicago Argonne, LLC?
Join a team of Electrical Safety Professionals-professionals that partner and collaborate with all Argonne personnel to safely accomplish the laboratory's mission by providing the following services:
- Assisting and advising Argonne’s personnel to implement electrical safety policies and procedures, as well as develop training information.
- Interpreting and applying federal, state, and local regulations and consensus standards to the execution of Argonne’s mission.
Interns will work alongside electrical safety SMEs to evaluate and familiarize themselves with compliance-based approaches and develop and implement best practices. Applicants should have a career interest in electrical safety or occupational/industrial safety, although no experience is required.
Education and Experience Requirements
This opportunity is open to any undergraduate or graduate student with relevant experience who meets the following criteria:
Must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited institution or program and have completed at least one semester of schooling by the start of the program.
Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
If accepting an offer, must pass a screening drug test.
Applicants must have a Real ID.
Must be a U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident at the time of application

HourlyThe expected hiring range for this position is $18.08 - $45.54.Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, business considerations, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
