What are the responsibilities and job description for the GEM - XSD - Eyobel Haile - 1/30/2025 position at UChicago Argonne, LLC?
Eyobel's primary project will be to design an ionization chamber for detecting X-ray beam intensity. Assembly and testing will also be done, time permitting. Deliverables will include design of the gas chamber, electrodes, insulators and connections for mating X-ray instrumentation. Components needed will be purchased and/or fabricated by outside.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited institution and have completed at least one semester of schooling by the start of the program.
- Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
- Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- If accepting an offer, must pass a screening drug test.
- Must complete a satisfactory background check.

HourlyThe expected hiring range for this position is $22.71-$45.54.Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only.
